| Hey! I hope everyone had a great Christmas! I sure did. It was great to spend time with my family, give gifts, and of course receive them as well :) I'll highlight some of the major things I got: two tickets to see Keith Urban on Valentines Day, (hehe..me and my sweetie will definitely be using those) a new cool, turquoise (of course) comforter...it feels really cool..the material is called "poodle," let's see...what else...a teal purse...the kind that are in style with the big sequins...i love it!...money, (gotta love that!) gift cards, some shirts, a new digital camera/printer dock, scratch-off lotto tickets, (haha...I actually won a little) some scrapbooking software (for my digital pictures), and that's all I can really think of right now. Also, Colby, got me this huge soft teddy bear that I cuddle with everynight and this BEA-utiful blue topaz cross necklace he had to special order. It's a beauty and it's definitely a "Christina" kind of necklace. He's a wonderful boyfriend and I love him so much! :) It's almost been 7 months since we started dating...and we "talked" 2 months before we starting dating so we've been um...dating/taking for 9 months (almost).
Two days after Christmas I got together with Kelsea...it's always great seeing her! I missed her bunches, and I know she misses Tom. She got a video camera for Christmas and we went to Outback to eat on her *19th* bday and she was filming everything for Tom. (her b/f) Outback is the American's perception of Australia. haha. We got some weird looks haha. After eating Outback, we went to Costco to pick up her yummy cake (they have such good cakes) and came back to her house and ate cake and hung out. Kels brought me back some of these YUMMY sandwich chocolate cookies called Tim-Tams and they have cream stuff in the middle...omg they were so good..notice I said were...Kels, if you read this....the box is empty haha! Time for a refill! :) But anyway, it was great to see her and I BETTER (yes, Kels, that's right) see her some more before she leaves in February. I guess I better start saving now because from what it sounds like, I'll be heading to Australia for a wedding in a few years..haha..:)
Well, I received my grades from my first semester of college! Unfortunately and fortunately (considering UAH is hard...) I made my first B since middle school, but I'll take it for this class....it was in Western Civ...that class was horrible...but I got A's in everything else. I start back on the 9th and I'm taking Organisimal Bio (second part of my Bio sequence), English Comp 102, Art History, and Computer Apps. in Business. I'm considering majoring in Management Information Systems.
Well, I guess I've written enough. Have a great day everyone and a HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! Can ya'll believe it's almost been a year since we graduated?
<3 Always- Christina
I'll leave ya'll with these lyrics to one of my new fav. songs..it's called I'll Die Tryin' By Lonestar:
You've been livin' way too long, In broken-promise land. Your dreams crushed an' scattered, Like a million grains of sand. I'd love to be your redemption, But I am just a man, I may never be a hero. But I'am a rock you can lean on.
If I don't love you like you deserve; If I don't stop every tear you're cryin'; If I don't make your life, A Heaven on this earth, I'll die tryin'. I'll die tryin'.
I'll listen to your secret prayer, An' share your deepest wish; Search for a hundred years, Just to find the perfect kiss. Of everything within my power, There's nothin' I won't give, To be that part of you an' your life, Oh, that takes what's wrong an' makes it right.
If I don't love you like you deserve; If I don't stop every tear you're cryin'; If I don't make your life, A Heaven on this earth, I'll die tryin'. I'll die tryin'.
Instrumental break.
I may never be a hero, But I'm a rock you can lean on.
If I don't love you like you deserve; If I don't stop every tear you're cryin'; If I don't make your life, A Heaven on this earth, I'll die tryin'. Oh, I'll die tryin'. I'll die tryin'.
| Wow, lately I have realized how lucky I am and how truely blessed I am. I'm struggling to understand why I have such a wonderful life, excellent friends, loving parents who would sacrifice anything for me, great family, and a magnificient boyfriend and others do not? In addition, God has blessed me with friends who want to come home to see me (and others)....who love me and havent forgotten me regardless if they are an hour and a half way, or even across the world. I have the opportunity to go to school, and even more, I don't have to pay for any of it and I don't have to work either! I truely am so blessed, and I wish so bad, that people could have what I have. Also, after talking with my cousin, I'm so blessed to have had parents who don't work 24/7, and who don't have to travel, and I'm lucky to have one set of grandparents and my grandmother still living. Many people do not share the blessing that I have of still having my grandparents around. Moreover, my parents let me be ME....yes, they taught me right from wrong, but they never pressured me to try out for anything or said you better make straight A's....they're just proud of me as long as I try my best, and they tell me they are proud of me! However, you have parents out there who force their kids to live the life they never had, which is unfair. Also, there are the ones out there who don't tell their kids they are proud of them or that they love them. They do love them and are proud of them, but just dont' show it. It is very important to tell those you love the most, that you love and care about them!
Sorry this is a bunch of rambling, but I've just come to realize how blessed and lucky I am to have the things that I have in my life! I've learned that MANY people, including those that I love, do not share the same blessings that I have. I often take these things for granted, and think they are univseral for everyone; however, they are not. Most importantly though, out of all this rambling, tell those you love, that you do love them...don't take any day or blessing for granted, and count your blessings!!!! Even if you think your life is horrible, it probably could be so much worse! Situations are what you make them to be!!!
Everyone, have a happy Thanksgiving and be thankful, not only on Thanksgiving, but everyday for all the many blessings from God!!!
| Hey! Well it's been a while so I figured I'd write a quick entry! Things are going really good right now....Mallory came home for the weekend...and her, Sky, Brad, Colby, and me went to eat last night and then rented Saw, and then went to the movie theatres and watched Saw 2 at 12:05 a.m. haha. It's a really good movie, just REALLY gorey. I can't believe I was able to sit through all of it. The motto of the movie is that "oh yes there will be blood," and my goodness, there was plenty of it! Definitely not a movie to see if you have a weak stomach.
Well, I'm *anxiously and eagerly* awaiting the end of this semester! I'm in a big rush to finish all these papers and study for tests since it's nearing the end of the semester. It will be grand to have a break from school. I think my last day is Dec. 14th or 15th. It's still frustrating that I don't know what I want to major in, but God is in control...even when I don't have a clue! Another good prop about Christmas break: Kelsea is coming home! I can't wait to see her!!!!
I'm really happy right now! I have such a wonderful boyfriend. I can't even describe how great he is. I've met so many guys throughout my life, but I've never met someone who is so caring, loving, and compassionate as he is! I love spending time with him. I love staring into his eyes. It's great :) I'm extremely lucky. I'm loving every second of it.
Well, I'm off to study for a quiz, wishing I was asleeep! But anyway, have a fantastic day!
PS: We wont' even discuss that Alabama game.....:) Better luck next week? I'd rather win next week than against LSU, but...we'll see...Alabama better step it up.

| Try this! It's really weird, but cool?!
Alzheimer's' Eye Test

ALZHEIMERS' EYE TEST
Count every " F " in the following text:
FINISHED FILES ARE THE RE SULT OF YEARS OF SCIENTI FIC STUDY COMBINED WITH THE EXPERIENCE OF YEARS... (SEE BELOW)
HOW MANY ?
...................... 3?
WRONG, THERE ARE 6 -- no joke. READ IT AGAIN !
The reasoning behind is further down.
The brain cannot process "OF".
Incredible or what? Go back and look again!!
Anyone who counts all 6 "F's" on the first go is a genius. Three is normal, four is quite rare.
